Christmas Saturday

Seen this posting else where but do we get the Saturday off at Christmas and as they have done in the past will they make it so its everyones day off that week?

If boxing day is made a work day, then RM will not see me for dust for the whole of that week.

Thanks for pointing this out dunposting. Hubby has only worked for RM so christmas hasn't fallen on a friday whilst he's been there. Obviously Christmas is a Bank holiday but with Boxing day being a Saturday the Bank Holiday carries forward to the Monday so again deliveries won't be on. So that leave a grey area for the saturday. Will he be expected to go in? I hope not as we've promised to go visit the in laws that day! I notice the post about them planning the rota's so Saturday is everyones day off but in theory it's not a bank holiday so shouldn't deliveries go ahead as normal?

I'd really appreciate anyone whose been through this situation clearing it up for us so we can make alternative arrangements - the in laws already seem to find it hard to understand that hubby works Saturdays as it is so we'll have a real fight on our hands trying to tell them he's got to work the day after Christmas.

I am pretty sure RM applied for it as a rest day to postcomm and they obliged.

You might get two extra day on annual leave.

In our office they'll either give you 2 days back holiday or you can book the overtime which most of our office do as when you do ask for the 2 days off more often than not you don't get the days your after

YES WE ARE OFF ON THE SATURDAY THE POSTAL REGULATOR HAS DROPPED THE USO SO IF WE DONT GET THE SATURDAY OFF THIS WILL THEN BE SOLEY DOWN TO R/M BEING SOUR OVER THE PRESENT ACTION WE ARE TAKING
