I doubt it. We took on further cuts and absorbing (6 men to a round) since the start of summer BUT look forward to the big big picture. You need to look at Stage four of the new working practices which RM are now rolling out without agreement. For example how does working to 4pm grab you on a Saturday ?

Zuvin your quite correct we live in a democracy where we all can make our individual decisions. I trust that you declined the £23 pay rise that union members took 9 days of industrial action to achieve in 2007. No? Well strike me down with a feather duster.

Re: Practice what your union preaches
Don't blame your local/area reps for the current mess. It was the failure of the CWU leadership to react quickly enough once it was seen that RM were imposing their own modernisation agenda. The aforementioned agenda paid scant regard to the actual content of the 2007-2009 Agreement. We have London and Scotland (followed by others in turn) to thank for getting us this far. They should all hold their heads up high as they are a credit to comradeship and the leadership should recognise that by getting an agreement worthy of their sacrifice.
Having said that .. don't be surprised to find a 'sweetner' dangling in front of your nose as part of the resolution to this dispute. I reckon anything between £200-£400 will have people falling over themselves to get back to work (as happened with the Pay & Mod Agmnt) ... never mind whatever dreadful detail the final Agreement might contain!

I am so pleased for you. If that's what you have to do to be a winner guess I am content to be one of lifes losers. I sleep well every night despite not being a winner. Enjoy spending your money.zuvin wrote:yes i did also accepted the 10 hours ot at sunday rate he who dares wins quoting a dumb cockerny

We all want to work but most of us can see the bigger picture! Without the union we would already all be on minimum wage and have the rights and benefits to match. If you really think you can rely on good old Adam to be fair to you then more fool you!
Go to work, get your money! Don't worry,we'll fight for your job and your rights! At the end of it all a simple "thank you" will suffice!

Well done to all posters on this thread - for once a thread about crossing a picket line/strike breaking and it did not descend into a flame war.
