returning to work after sickness

Hi all, Does any know the rules on returning to work after sickness. I have had an operation and am due back to work on a Tuesday, but i'm on leave that week. I seem to recall you cant take leave straight away after being sick. The trouble is we are going away so I need my leave that week. Cheers.

This has happened to me in the past and I have been told that these rules have now changed.
You should be alright just check with your DOM

If you are due leave that week theres nothing the DOM can do

I'd give them a ring though , and let them know you are fit to return from whatever date it is. There's always the possibility if you don't that they will not mark you down as such until after you return from holiday otherwise.Best to cover your arse.

If you really want to cover your arse, put some trousers on.

you can resume to annual leave from sick leave but you must advise staffing/your manager of this or your sick absence will be continued
