One problem with that, they are not "real" shares they are what Royal Mail termed "phantom" shares. i.e you get a bonus based on company value and number of phantom shares you have but you cant do anything with them like real shares i.e decide to sell them etc.

Thats why they are pushing the "Postal Bill" as they have to make a Law so they can sell RM. So your customer is right that at the moment they can't but the law changing that is currently "suspended" for various reasons.
