Crozier on Andrew Marr show
Was anyone impressed by Croziers performance on the Andrew Marr show, do you really believe that he has spent the last few weeks talking to our customers instead of engaging with the union. That he was given an easy ride was obvious but why can't he be exposed for what he is, a self serving incompetent who with his sidekick Leighton has destroyed a once proud service. I have never heard him defend the universal service against the unfair competition of deregulation, have we made inroads into other E.U countries of course not but we accept the creaming off of ourprfitable business. Are there vested interests involved here not just Crozier but Mandelson to. Mind you what can you expect from the only man on ahe show not to wear a poppy, a true patriot. Rant over

What gets me really mad is when RM management say that they have turned the business around and made it more profitable this is only because they have got rid of over 60,000 RM employees, closed over 3,000 post offices and the rest. The profits have not gone back into the business but towards the executives big salaries and big bonues.

I read a article about crozier yesterday saying that he nearly got sacked from the Daily Telegraph for exaggerating advertising revenue figures! i guess it is in his nature to change things to suit himself

Re: Crozier on Andrew Marr show
the Premiership managers and chairmen didn't like his autocratic style , his attitude and justifications for his bonuses / salary so the rotters ganged up on him and Thompson at the FA didn't lift a finger to protect him for some reasonStumpy wrote:Somebody remind me why he left the FA with his tail between his legs.
His hands were shaking & he used public school " charm " to mask his sulky / sniffy attitude - whatever Billy & Dave's shortcomings are , they've come over recently as playing a straight bat when interviewed .

On a pre-tax basis, Royal Mail made an annual profit of £49m, compared with a loss of £77m a year earlier.
Royal Mail chief executive Adam Crozier said the firm had made a "huge effort" to modernise and improve its efficiency.
Annual profits at Royal Mail's letter delivery unit totalled £58m, compared with a loss of £3m for the year before.
The Post Office business made a profit of £41m, compared with a £34m loss a year earlier.
Thats some bonus he's manged to hide in his back pocket then.
Thats the way business work if its costing money you cut it loose. I'm sure NON of you would pay more for your car ins than you need to just for the hell of it.
Royal Mail is a business not a state handout.
Like a lot of people my sympathy for RM staff is dwindling by the day. Every business has to change or face extinction. And yet the tail is still trying to wag the dog.

There is a lot of suspicion about RM's accounts which "incidentally" were not of a " acceptable transparency standard " , there has also been a lot of " coincidental delay " in releasing accounts .
There is a lot of suspicion about " coincidental " massive losses and " consequent " dramatic turnarounds or very creative ( though legal based on operating profits ) accounting especially with failed privatizations on the agenda .
I suppose his £3 million salary comprised of two bonuses is mere beer money in Adam's back pocket
The Hooper report stated that Royal Mail's Senior Management lacked the expertise to run a postal operation . Mandelson stated that RM's Senior Management were from a genetically deficient gene pool . The bonuses paid to RM's Senior Management could have gone a long way towards the deficit in the Pension Pool
A hated RM Senior Manager Bishop resigned from RM stating that Leighton & Crozier's " Business Plan " was suicidal .
More of a case of managed decline for ideological reasons than the tail wagging the dog
