DID NOT GO ON STRIKE

Post by FLUFFY »

Because it will not change a thing...hard to except but true,

The union has no power I stopped my CWU subscription a while back as it is pointless and I found it hard to stomach the fact that some of it goes to the labour Party. If the union had any power why wasn`t all this sorted out as it was happening, using cars, bullying, heavy work loads, etc etc

The having to give notice rule to strike and the odd day here and there seems so tame. The sad fact is jobs will go, cut backs will happen and the rich will get richer :mfo :cfo and there is nothing that can be done to stop it.

Finally the union rep at our DO did not go out on strike either

You go in to work, I'll go on strike. It's people with attitudes such as yours that will hurt our goal.
Change is going to happen and that ISN'T the issue. It's WHAT changes and when they will happen is what we're concerned with.

Whether you agree with me or not i have one one word for you and your rep shame

Will you not benefit from what ever we get out of this dispute but you have chosen not to make a stand.

I hope come monday your unit rep resigns as this is disgusting so what you are telling us all is that your office rep crossed a picket line or did you both have a lie in.

Your reps name should be handed to the CWU H/Q and i hope they kick him out SHAME SHAME SHAME

Pm me your office so i may report your rep to H/Q

Good for you :Boo hoo!

How did you feel at work yesterday standing beside your colleagues that did strike? strike breakers at my DO were very sheepish, and they all sneaked in the side door on Friday. Disgusting :cfo

Fishing for reactions eh? Haven't you got anything better to do? Perhaps we should have a special strike breakers part of the forum where they can all go and celebrate being shafted by their employer? :left:

I did not cross a picket line ..there was not a picket line... no one went out in our office..

Im not in this for a fight im trying to express my opinion that what the union are doing is not going to change a thing THEY HAVE NO POWER..if they did all this mess should have been nipped in the bud as it was happening !!!! How can you expect all RM staff across the country to unite and fight together when you read threads on here and realise that all DO`s have different pay stuctures, hours, rules ..London posties on higher wages, scottish posties getting paid higher d2d rates etc etc

Going on strike for the odd day here and there after giving 7 days notice :d'oh! will not change a thing !!

Fluffy.......What do you suggest? Scrap the union and let Royal Mail shaft everyone more and more with no one to answer to.

London has a higher living rate, hence the higher pay.
Hours in EVERY office could be different as that SHOULD be what you agreed to in your office revision.
D2D rates are crap no matter what office you work in.

If you arn't happy, which you clearly arn't, then thats what the strikes are for!

p.s Your entire office is a disgrace. I hope you don't have to look back and reflect what you could have done today when you get shafted tomorrow.
