Agreement to be signed next week according to my mate.

Strikes caused nothing like disruption expected, and xmas coming means deal best for all.

Not happy.

if C W U falls for this one i will give up. As we say over here the dogs in the street knows what r.m. are after, get an agreement then rip it up after christmas. This is the first time in 20yrs that we have the ace up our sleeves, and when the time comes we have to have the guts to play that ace i.e take on Mr Mandelson, and the labour goverment. The public and the business sector know in there hearts where the blame lies for this situation and its up to us to carry the fight to the people responsible for this. In every conflict there are casualties and if need be we must be prepared to except them, As our forfathers have done we have to take the fight to the enemy AND WIN THE WAR

Lets not forget, the CWU negotiating team or the NEC DO NOT have the power to accept a deal, merely recommend it to the membership, and even that better be a good one.

After 2007 and the shambles of a deal signed up to there Billy Hayes is certainly drinking in the last chance saloon so unless he wants to be back on his bike he needs to be taking full heed of the feeling of the membership when he looks straight into the whites of Croziers eyes.

And, as mediator the TUC need to realise that they are representing more that the CWU at these meetings. All eyes will be upon them, good and bad, the trade union movement as a whole is at a crossroads here.
