Depends if we get sold out like before or if, as I sincerely hope the job gets done right this time, if so may take a few weeks, but at least you will have a job that will be worth doing and have the right amount of time to complete.

I thought we'd we out for the long haul last time but when the union agreed to the proposals last time our office implemented them and we've been working like this for 2 years now. A lot of my office with working this way now see these strikes as futile and around 10-15 came into work this morning although no deliverys went out a few were in vans doing collections.

the people who think the strikes are futile will think again early in the new year when they come for their annual 10% and delivery times are put back another hour.BoyGeorge wrote:I thought we'd we out for the long haul last time but when the union agreed to the proposals last time our office implemented them and we've been working like this for 2 years now. nobody wants to go on strike and lose money but if we dont stand and fight then the job wont be a full time job within 2 years.

If we get sold out again, the Union will be as good as dead - who'd support an organisation, that asks you to give up wages, to then accept what the employer wanted in the first place.packmule wrote:Depends if we get sold out like before or if, as I sincerely hope the job gets done right this time, if so may take a few weeks, but at least you will have a job that will be worth doing and have the right amount of time to complete.

Anybody who thinks we will walk away from this with a great deal is deluding themselves.packmule wrote:Depends if we get sold out like before or if, as I sincerely hope the job gets done right this time, if so may take a few weeks, but at least you will have a job that will be worth doing and have the right amount of time to complete.

when you walk away from negotiations with a deal there has to be something in it for both parties.
This deal will be full of comprimises and some will see it as a sellout.
The most important thing we can get from it is the removal of the vagueness of the 2007 deal.
Words like flexibility should be banned, although i doubt they will.
I hope im wrong
good times, bad times you know I've had my share
