D2D for a 35hr week?

Post by banner18 »

How about a deal whereby our D2D payments are ended. We get a 5-6 % pay rise and a 35 hour week.
Provided D2Ds are automated by an appropriate date. The cap is lifted but a weight limit is enforced.

We get a 35 hour week plus retaining some of the payment in a pay rise. No more absorption basically. Our D2Ds are in our workload and will be easier to deliver when they are pre-packed.

Royal mail save all the admin costs on D2D now, and increase the number to 5 or 6, gaining all the revenue from them, more than making up for our pay rise and a 35 hr week.

Do the sums add up? Does everybody win?

You are right about d2d payments ending (if they have their way). I suggest you read the leaked document currently available on socialist worker on line.

Leaked docs link here: http://www.socialistworker.co.uk/art.php?id=19352 I wonder who leaked those documents, someone at head office with a conscience or leaked on purpose to wind us up...

If the working week is reduced to 35 hr (as an example )
Then the part time staff also gain as the hourly rate goes up and their wages go up..... simples! :chuckle
The part time hours won't be reduced, it's just that you gain extra money in your wages.
I know you think you know what you think I meant!
But do you really know?

Beware The easiest way to reduce your weekly hours is to stop paying for your breaks! :no no :no no :no no

Breaks would stay of course, that would be a scam....
