strike days should remain the same

If deliveries strike next saturday that will mean the same people having the strike day as their day off. If each dept, mdec, mc's/ drivers, deliveries had their strike day the same every week, everyone eventually would have a strike day as their day off and would reduce loss of earnings further.
Am I being stupid presuming everyone has a rolling day off?

yeah that is very true, a few guys in my office were over the moon the strike fell on there day off, so are going to be even happier now it falls on there day off again next week...

, do the cwu actually give this any thought..

It is just going to cause problems within offices amongst the CWU staff.

Some people will lose a days pay every week - while others (technically) never strike at all!

The CWU are not really thinking about individual members in this case.

It means the union is causing friction and bad feeling within offices - everybody should be treated equally with the losses being distributed.

People are going to be forced back to work sooner if the same people are hit weekly while there colleagues never lose a day's pay.

I agree. This is something that really need to be addressed by the CWU top brass. Not once in 6 and a half years has a strike day fallen on my rest day!

You'll find that it has been an oversight with all the stuff going on at the moment!
Don't let it cloud your judgement as a lot of us don't have rolling days off and will be taking the full hit as well.
You will always get some kind of problems when taking IA in a buisness of our size!

Some have lost 16 days pay already before the dispute even went national !!! Either you support the strikes and the consequential loss of money, or you don't. Too late to start saying how some are losing more money than others

Yeah I understand that but losses to members could generally be minimised simply by keeping the same day week in week out. I dont think a lot of thought has been used with this one.

we all have the same day of each at my D.O so it good for us, but yes some people do have more luck than others

headscrewedon offices who have had no strikes or few strikes cannot help that some offices have 16 days off, thats there choice. However there is now a national strike with a majority vote and the srikes are meant to be designed to have as little effect to the members as possible.I support the strikes fully but with views and attitude like yours people will soon return to work

It is a bit of an own goal. But it should only be a blip we need to concentrate on the bigger picture and WIN this dispute or everyone of us will be Tuesday day off. This was an idea that was put about by some managers seeing as thats the quietest day

bar a couple of resreves we all have fixed days off in our office, so for us its better to keep changing the day otherwise its the same one losing money.

As i have said before this is making life easier for some and does come across as unfair but i believe Royal Mail want us to start fighting amongst ourselves and to weaken. Losing money should and will make us more passionate about our cause.

In fairness to the union they have to choose days that suit the "bigger picture"
But I'm pretty sure that after these posts they won't table strike day thats benefits the same group again.
