CWU and RM

I believe from watching the news that CWU & RM came to some sort of agreement last night
which was then taking to a commitee who throw it out.

Now the CWU asked us to give them a YES vote for leverage which people did.
surely they should of offered the agreement up for us to see weather it was any good or not
since its us thats affected

Saw Paul Tolhurst on Channel 4 news and if the agreement that was reached last night was as he described it, then it was a stitch up and i would hope the NEC would throw it out.

Following interviews this evening in which Paul Tolhurst appeared to offer to sign an agreement this evening the CWU has to respond to yet again put the record straight.


The letter from Mark Higson sent to CWU today was substantively different to the form of words achieved through negotiations so far and that is what led to the CWU being unable to call off strike action this week.



CWU spokesperson said: "Royal Mail is again misleading the public. The form of words that was drafted between the negotiating teams last night was precisely that - a form of words that may have allowed the sides to keep talking and call off tomorrow's strikes.


"The reality is there is no agreement. Both Royal Mail's negotiating team and the CWU negotiating team know that the form of words do not constitute a final agreement. To now suggest it is plain stupid.


"Mark Higson is clearly out of touch with his own team. He needs to get round the table and get his hands dirty resolving this dispute."

Crozier was the spoiler last time - wouldn't trust that spiv Higson as far as I could throw him , in 2003 Hayes had to sort it out with Leighton ( both sides were at loggerheads ) as Glasgow & parts of Scotland would have come out with London .

so does that mean its still the same set of words that is the problem ?? Certainly sounds like it.
