D2Ds on saturday

On my day off yesterday the dim told everyone they HAD to complete their D2Ds on saturday if they hadnt already done so during the week, as its us that is withdrawing our labour on friday when they should be finished.

Anyone shed any light on this? According to the agreement saturday D2Ds are voluntary, but does strike action affect this??

or ask to flex down 1/2 hour sat

Just say you will be happy to deliver the vastly important D2D but will have to leave the mail till Monday....your choice DOM deal or No deal?

most people just got there d2d's done in the four days they worked this week.

Its only wednesday, so its only been 3 days max up til now. And I was off tuesday, so only 2 days so far me.

4 days would include saturday for me and many others.

I did 33% Mon-Wed because my day off is Thursday and strike Friday. From what I gather they can't make you do D2D on Saturday but equally, you can't refuse to complete your D2Ds.

Basically, if you want to finish early on Saturday then tough ... those times have gone now that TNT and DHL push Junk mail through as 1st class. Just do the D2Ds and cut off, managment is paid for those decisions and to justify them.

most people in my office were happy to do them at 25% a day including a saturday, as in case you forgot where on strike this week and losing a days money.
