As a collection driver from a delivery office that runs my collection into a mail center. how does this work???? am I scabbing if I take my collection into a striking mail center on Thursday as my delivery office is out on strike on Friday????

Not sure mate how this works, good question... I think that you dont have to cross the line and im sure the lads will ask you to turn round, BUT would you be suspended? for not doing your duty. As you know anything can happen and they would do anything for people to go out un-offical... Me i would turn around..

In past experience the driver would get suspended, causing the office to walk in support. I would defo see a rep to get some info before you hit the picket line. :mfo

Lines are expected to be stood down to allow those not on strike to pass, this applies both days.

Any hint of unoffical IA and RM will be straight in court to get the stike declared null and void.

The only way that rolling strikes can work is if we keep our discpline. So that does mean when you are not out on strike on the thursday that picket lines are stood down and vice versa on the friday. In London we have done this on a number of occasions in order to keep the dispute legal.

We still have a massive backlog in London and rolling strikes are a very effective toll providing they are often and people recognise that we have to stand down picket lines to allow those on strike on a different day to cross otherwise we end up with a number of indivudals off pay and the threat of an injuction stopping further strike action and the risk of unofficial action
