work time learning

Post by drevil1969uk »

Can anyone explain the rules regarding this? I realise they are part of our contract but not sure about something

Have only had one in six months asking us not to strike (after we had already balloted lol)

Even if we are on strike are we entilted to have one still? if not why did we have one a few weeks ago and we dont have them the rest of the time. We never had one before the strikes and have had only a handful in last few years, but as far as im aware they are part of our contract.

30 mins every week although I have no evidence of this, it could be in the way forward document.
I'm sure it's 30 mins every week.
No I'm not being paranoid, they really are out to get me.

It's also worth noting than P/T staff hardly ever get these, especially if your on 30Hrs or less. Royal Mail use the WTL to tell you about new ways you can be sacked. Yet a lot of rule changes never get to these staff members.

And when at last the work is done. Don't sit down, it's time to dig another one

If you recieve this WTL then you are in the office for another 30 mins which forms part of your working day
thus resulting in overtime or even bigger cut off
If say 50 men in an office did not get a WTL session then the manager would be saving 25 hrs overtime
every dirty trick in the book to save money

I wondered if being on strike effected things really. When its a bank holiday they use the excuse that its not a full week so they dont have to give them so just wondered if we should still get them if bank holiday/striking

I think they are good cos when the manager comes out with sh... rubbish i can counter EVERYTHING he says and point out the statement he is reading is utter bow-locks. Also its 30 minutes off the floor. And with regards to them saving money by cutting corners well that alone is reason to have them. Also like to attack a few issues that are going on knowing full well that the manager cannot/wont deal with them.

Watching them squirm lol.
