Why i'm striking.

Post by hazzeem025 »

Here's a quick lowdown of the reasons why i'm willing to strike.

1. Part timer knocked off his bike by a RM manager, resulting in broken foot and time off work. Part timer put on a stage one sick warning. Reason for this action?? Part timer was not wearing RM footware or uniform. Reason for this? He hadn't been issued with any, despite asking numerous times. Has resigned from the business.

2. The pregnant postie pushing her bike down the street. Suspended for not wearing a bike helmet. Yep that's right, suspended because she wasn't wearing a bike helmet while she wasn't riding her bike. Shockingly true. Appealed and the suspension was overturned. Now on maternity leave.

3. Postie sacked for alleged fraud. Investigated by the IV/IB and cleared of any wrong doing. Still sacked by Dom/cluster manager. Manager blatantly lied to get this person sacked. Posties amass evidence proving management lies for posties appeal. Appeal is successfull and postie cleared to come back to work. Management say he can't come back on driving duty and has to do whatever is available. Postie is unable to do walks because of knee operation. Postie and family have been to hell and back this year while this has been ongoing. Things like this have consequences, no wage=can't pay mortgage=lose house=marriage problem=stress=depression=suicide.

It will happen if Royal Mail managers show such blatant disregard for human beings and human emotions. You are playing with peoples lives. Please stop before one day you push someone to far. Treat us with respect, we've done nothing to deserve this kind of treatment. We are the reason you get huge bonuses. Fairs fair, so how about a little respect.
