As you will not be using Royal Mail as your Delivery Service this Xmas, then i have no choice other than to not order from you this year which is a shame as you are normally very good on price.Could i also point out that from what i have read and could find out the postmen and women are fighting to protect a service for the public and you,so i find your action in not supporting them deplorable. Please stop all emails to my accounts email address in the future.
Thanking you
Hope you all do the same

Re: Just sent this to amazon
I believe Amazon are now using HDNL (Home Delivery Network) to deliver any package over 500g.
I find this measure about as sensible as trying to extinguish a fire by pouring petrol on it.....
Looks like I will have to drag myself down the shops and do things the 'old fashioned way' this Christmas!

Re: Just sent this to amazon
Amazon, and as we are led to believe by Royal Mail's new best buddies over at Sky News, other companies will be scattering like cockroaches to find alternative couriers for their goods.
It would be interesting to know if these companies have their own Unions. I'm sure the 'grunts' on the shop floor at these companies would react in a whole new way if they were being leaned on by their bosses and being threatened with a sudden influx of illegal temp workers whilst they tried to settle a dispute.
The threats and intimidation by the Royal Mail, although some aspects are highly illegal, could be used by other large companies such as Amazon and without any union backing the workers at these companies would be ousted quicker than they take the money out of our accounts for a Flesh light ( allegedly !! )

Dear Customer,
We have not cancelled any long term contracts with Royal Mail.
They continue to be one of a number of carriers that we use. However, with the possibility of strike action in the near future, we have been working on contingency measures with our other carriers to ensure that we can continue to deliver to the high standards that our customers expect from us.
I will pass your message on to the appropriate department who will be glad to review your feedback. Strong customer feedback such as yours helps us to continue improving the selection and service we provide. We appreciate the time you've taken to write to us.
I have now unsubscribed your email address from our databases. It may take up to 24 - 48 hours for our systems to update. This will remove your email address from all types of Amazon mailings that are not specifically order related.
If you would like to receive any specific mailings in the future, you can visit the Your Account link and click on update your communication preferences.
As an Amazon.co.uk customer or subscriber, you can receive e-mail updates about important functionality changes to the website, new Amazon.co.uk services, and special offers we believe would be beneficial to you.
Again, we are very sorry for any inconvenience you have experienced and I hope this information is helpful.
Please understand our concern in this regard and I hope that you will give us another opportunity to prove the quality of our service to you.
We thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter, and thank you for your interest at Amazon.co.uk.
Please let us know if this e-mail answered your question:

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
