I will be striking... BUT

Post by Up Hill Down Hill »

I still can't get my head around it all? We have everything such as Flexibility/Absortion etc in our office, How can me + maybe 8 or 9 other posties striking have an affect on our office where there is no going back?

I tried to keep it brief, Thanks for any replies. Unity is key

I agree that if you're in the union then you should back them! They are after our help so it's only fair to be in their corner like they are when the situation is reversed. Just wondering what it's all about as we have no union rep willing to inform any of us and I can't find a list of our demands that have kept it simple!

You might think you have got it all in your office but there is plenty to come.
Have they stopped D2D payments yet?
Have they scrapped seniority so the longest serving are now sector reserves?
Do you work until 3pm on a Saturday?
There are lots of reasons to be on the picket line on Thurs/Friday and none not to be.
We all make a difference.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

The problem is there is no uniform experiences in all offices. Some have it very bad and some have it good, so there will always be stronger offices than others. Until Royal Mail ditch the local agreement system, and have us all working to the same guidelines, it will continue to be the case this time round.
