ACAS coming in....

Post by Howard »

As usual,Im lost when it comes to anything other that sport and cards.

CWU asked for 3rd party mediation....royal mail have said theyll get ACAS in if the strike action later this week is aborted.

More than likely the strikes be off ?

Where did you hear this?
Run, rabbit run. Dig that hole, forget the sun.
And when at last the work is done. Don't sit down, it's time to dig another one

It's been on Sky News, but Tolhurst is demanding strikes are called off before
they will go to ACAS, and then only to talk about some of the changes
they intend to implement, not those they have already brought in by EA.

I don't think there will be strikes this week the union is going to cave in one of these days.

They can't afford to call the strike action off now.
We waited 5 days to allow talks and discussions with the Union exec, then gave 9 days notice for strike action which accounts to 14 days so far!
If we were to call off these strike days then we would be required by law (You know the thing that the union is forced to adhere to but not the employers!!) which is another 7 days, with this in mind there is not really much leeway for to stand down or we could lose the right to strike for months. 28 days max to make the vote/strike live.
I'm myself still awaiting to last minute rushing to court to try and make the strike illegal the way that this management has tried everytime there is the prospect of I.A
I know you think you know what you think I meant!
But do you really know?
