At least the article mentioned us being over-worked and not being able to complete our deliveries.

So innacurate I cant even get annoyed about it... let me give them three examples just from this morning...

One house that I had a recorded for, I could hear music playing at FULL volume inside (at 9.30 on a saturday morning, nice for the neighbours) but no matter how much I hammered on the door couldnt get an answer.

Another house, front door ajar, garage door open, 2 cars on driveway, but again no matter how much I rang the bell and shouted "hello" inside the door couldnt get any response.

A special for one house, rung the doorbell, waited, knocked on door twice, waited, put my bag down, wrote my card out, posted it through, walked off down the path (by this time a good 4-5 mins had past since I first rung the bell) when all of a sudden a young guy appears at the front door... why the hell does it take you 5 minutes just to answer your door?!?!?!?

If you read the article fully it appears to suggest that the culprits were agency temps, rather than Royal Mail posties.

Its weird
I do know posie's who write the p739's out and then place them in the frame as a reminder on the way around BUT they do make a delivery attempt.
Assuming that not everyone is telling lies in the comments below the stories something is going on. I ve only ever seen parcels taken away from agency staff (cause they nick them) by managers but i am still not sure if they left a card ?

We all know it takes longer to write out the card than make a delivery so i can only think the parcels are not being taken out. The ones shown in the photo's look like a van sized drivers drop to me though so it wont be their regular postie.

The Daily Mail have certainly got it in for us though. A lot of my customers take it and i ve noticed their attiudes have become colder with the odd smart comment as they climb into their 59 plate Mercedes, which is nice :Very Happy

It does'nt happen in my office and i've never heard of the 3 packets per pouch limit  If it is happening the managers should be conducted as they are condoning this.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Sorry find that offensive, just today i have like many other staff have had so many packets for thier delivery that we are using a bag plus for just one road so you can imagine how many bags are being used, most of us are booking o/t on top to book packets in to the office on return,as for the students i come from a city where there are 3 universitys and 2 colleges and if the students could be bothered to get up to answer thier doors it would make a change,i had a student say to me yesterday would i mind not disturbing them that earley it was 14.30 in the afternoon,we leave all packets at the pick up info desk for halls of resident for students, not bring them back its only outside students that give us massive problems.I gave up getting a paper because of the rubbish that was in them and looking at that im glad.
