Bad Day At The Office

Post by Exrep »

Everyone in our office has had a really bad today especially me.

Ive sat in on 7 interviews today 6 of them performance realted issues and heard the same B/S in each.

Anyway got to the 6 interview and i asked the DIM if packets had been included in the prep test he said no but as im saying my piece hes writing everythink down i say.
I told him this is a load of B/S if your going to do a prep test do it properly ie include the packets ( as some walks get 2-3 packet bags) the re-directions the killing off the going to the reg bay weighing bags and alls i got back was its agreed with the union 13 items per minute ( I F**king no this) still ranting i told him the whole exercise was flawed and its a load of crap turned to the lad i was sitting in with and advised him as it was a load of crap to leave the interview ( But he didnt ) by this time my head had blew completely off and i had to walk out.

This resulted in me not getting out the office until 11.45 took a row and a half out so lets see whether im prep tested tomorrow as im PLUCKING ready for the bar stewards and i will not co-opertae with the stupid system once again another show of BULLYING by R/M DIMS. Well you DIM WITTED fools this postie has had enough and im locked and ready to roll.

Ive got the performance standars download but when im sitting in on the interviews theres somethink i cant put my finger on as there timing dont add up.

Ikept on telling the DIM that this test has chuncks of the 100% BSI test attached to it thats not agreed with the union but alls i got back was ive never heard of the BSI test bolloxs bullies aswell as liars.

05.45-06.15 prep mech (15 bundles no chance ) second van arrives with more walk sort on around 07.00

06.15-08.05 on the ips

08.05-09.06 prep mail tie up ready to go by 09.15

Our office is very heavy office how does there timing work its impossible and i need to work out the flaw in there system .

ThIis is what happens when a rep hasnt been on the union course 1 yet as i dont have the knowledge i cant figure it out.

And before you say anythink i do know its a load of B/S thats not what i want to hear i want a solution to this problem before somethink serious happens to a fellow member of staff.

Im ready for a war i really dont care of the consequences as ive had enough of this B/S but take it from me the screws are being turned roll on next week.

I can assure you mate you are not alone. Our office is EXACTLY the same. I have been in for serveral fact finding interviews about my performance. Royal Mail want the impossible. My Rep argues and argues with my Assistant DOM about the times and figures they expect of us. I hope you find the flaw in the system you are looking for mate. I really do. The people you represent have all my sympathy. It's not a nice to be told your not working to the standards this computer says you should be. Jobs are being loss over an impossible set of times and figures generated by a computer. Keep the fight alive for us all mate.

Regardless of what RM's computer says, 90 mins is not enough time to fully prep and tie up a walk. I am one of the quickest in my office, have been on the same walk for years and it took me nearly 2 hours today to prep it. When I left at 10am today loads of people were still throwing off, and a lot of them aren't slow either.

The flaw is the numbers they are talking are near impossible to produce.

Same here mate, i'm a new rep and have not been on any union courses yet and i'm finding it difficult to know how far to push things as it's our jobs in royal mail which are on the line aswell. As you say the help from above is not very good as it's supposed to be the communications workers union :d'oh!

I am also getting flak for booking overtime, everytime I book I am always questioned and interviewed, I have been prep tested and mail counted, I come in on time , while other muppets are coming in early and its being used against me, asking why I am late going out etc

Some members are now considering putting an harrasment case in, I am also considering it as well.
