Re: 2 Days pay stopped
No,this happened last time, apparently it's to do with when the wages are done.
I believe they have until Tuesday to process the wages for that week, hence you
get your wage slip on the thursday.
So if you are on strike Wed onwards it comes out of the following week,so
because you were off twice prior to Tuesday, they are processed accordingly.
The words snake and belly come to mind.

Re: 2 Days pay stopped
Unfortunately that's the only way to do it. Pay is processed on a Tuesday for that week, so in effect you are getting paid in advance for that week, so for the first week you would have been overpaid by a day, you had already received pay on Friday for Saturday's work (or lack of). To be fair to RM it's not their fault. The only solution would be to be paid a week in arrears, but I don't think that would go down too well!

If I was honest I thought I was - every job I have done I have worked either 1 month or 1 week in arrears.NumptyBumpty wrote:Unfortunately that's the only way to do it. Yeah, I don't think many people are aware of this until they leave. Who can remember if they got paid for their first week 20 years ago?TrueBlueTerrier wrote: If I was honest I thought I was - every job I have done I have worked either 1 month or 1 week in arrears.
