Can anyone enlighten me as to whether I am able to claim 20% extra for my D2D's next week as we will be on strike on the friday
I am happy to do my 20% per day but unfortunately this will leave me with 20% left by Saturday. If they want me to deliver the other 20% then surely they will pay me an extra 20% for doing it within 4 days instead of the usual 5 days
What do you think?
The time has come to stop turning the other cheek, time to stop shaking our heads in bitter dismay, time to stop mumbling our angry words.
The time has come for union.
To be honest the sensible thing for the buisness to do is indeed work it like a bank holiday week and pay extra for 4 days. They are taking the contract for the leaflets and need to make efforts to honour their delivery agreement.
That's not the issue, the issue is RM have a legally binding agreement to deliver these leaflets full stop. If they know most staff will not be attending work 1 day out of five and they cannot force staff to deliver more than 20pc per day they have the option to offer a bonus payment. Totally up to them and if they cared about customer service and meeting their obligations - with only a minor payment adjustment required - they would do it.
d2d is a mon to fri dely item/20% a day ,ia does not come into the equation doing 25% over the 4 days is a personal
choice to make sure you get full payment, only way to get any % extra is if RM say so or delayed for legit reason.

Nice argument - but as RM have said they will not reward anyone striking its a moot point. We will be striking so they wont pay extra to get the D2Ds delivered.

And if that's true, is that legal? To penalise/disadvantage workers because of official IA?
I might be wrong but as they apply it to all those who took official industrial action then they are doing nothing wrong legally, but morally is a different question entirely.
I think looking at the YouGov websites any action they take against strikers must be against all strikers and not individuals, and it does not mention strike breakers. Therefore if you follow the argument to RMs natural conclusion they can do this quite legally.

dont know about any other offices but when a strike is coming we seem to get bulk postings every other day so completing d2ds in 5 days isnt a problem its more money in your pockets
