Very baffled to why royal mail have put walks in to our office then taken them out
4 times in the last 5 years,
we did the revision last year & re pick that put 3 more round in the office, just been told
That we have to save 110 hours so we now have to have another revision & re pick
What a mess, No wonder we are were we are,

Well i have said all along the only way where going to settle this is to go on strike for a hole week then we will get them talking. This one day business is no good its a waste of time it's not hurting anybody.

an all out strike would of been best if they had balloted us all and taken us all out together. but we've already lost 16 day's money now and i don't think there's many that are will to go to the wall now.

Sounds very similar to what happened in our office.. Finally completed a revision that added walks, set about a resign then ditched it and set about starting another revision which added to everybodies walk and reduced number of walks back to a similar number before the first revision and we don't get a resign. Now we are told we must also absorb Mon-Fri, I think the piss-poor-excuse for this farsical exercise is falling mail volumes!

And people wonder why we want to go on strike, can't understand it myself

I am old enough to have been involved in the 6 week all out strike of 1971.
We didn't win then and we wouldn't win now.
Even in those far off days before technology really took off, businesses and even the general public found ways round the service and we had to crawl back to work with our tails between our legs with no deal made.
Tom Jackson, the then General Secretary of the UCW, never got over it and always looked a broken man afterwards.
How long could YOU manage, realistically, with no money coming in?
I believe a series of rolling strikes, losing one days pay at a time, is the only way to go.

I agree with that statement,an all out strike would not get full support and would split the union beyond repair,many "run of the mill posties" could suffer one day a week strike,but any more than that would see the mortage/rent being forefited ect ect.
