If for any reason you cannot get back to your DO contact the office to tell them of your situation ... if you are unable to contact the office take all items to the nearest PO for safe-keeping and eventual return to the DO .. under no circumstances should you take any items of mail home. Failure to do so may invoke conduct code violations which could lead to being sacked.

Your duty should have a nominal time built in for returning to the office. If you have a 'pouch-off' policy at your DO then any items of mail you have left over should be treated as above.

That would be my advice.

why should you return to office when you finish. we either pouch-off into postbox or go to a sub post office and pouch off there. last letter should be delivered no later than 2pm. then 15 mins to pouch off."simple" as that meerkat says

We have to return to the office so the managers known weve worked all the hours were paid.

If we pouched off they would think we went home early.

15 mins to return to the office on a bike no matter how far out the duty is.

In our office we take our 40 minute meal relief at the end of our duty, so thats 14.15 minus 40 minute and then we have 15 minutes to pouch off,so by 13.20.our last letter should be by 13.20

Hi i'm FT our office you leave anything that is undelivered in the pouch boxes and the van drivers pick them up next day when they go to fill your boxes thats why our notice left we put on 48hrs for collection, only thing is i'm wary of leaving them in on a saturday but then again its not my problem :cfo :cfo :cfo
