Oh I am relaxed and ready to stand on the picket line for as long as it takes, just think it might be a bit more interesting especially within our office with several saying they can only afford to support the cwu for the one strike!

I agree to an extent madelin4,BUT are the membership up for it ?In my own office 1 days are fine but when you start talking all out people dont seem as up for them, its a tricky one to call, but if nothing changes we might not have any choice.

Actually having been back for the first time since the strike the Managers are all running round like headless chickens so I think it is working at least we are putting pressure back on them and hopefully its going in an upward direction.

So, with the notice period required to stay within the law, that means the next one won't be until Friday the 13th  at the very earliest.

Personally, I think if a one-day strike doesn't get RM back into proper discussions, the CWU should go for Monday AND Tuesday 16th/17th. The implied warning being that if you (RM, that is) don't talk to us seriously, the next one will be for three days, the one after for four.

We could always call the action off at the last possible moment, and screw RM when we all walk in and do a normal day at worst, or have an easy day because in blind panic they've pushed a lot of the work through the system the previous week to mitigate the effects of the planned strike

12th & 13th are holidays here so it would suit me if it was the 14th (a Saturday on the picket line) then really screw them the following week. :dance :dance :dance :dance :dance

strike

Given what the CWU have said to members it is highly unlikely they will call any 3 or 4 days stoppages!!!

I think maybe Processing Friday, Delivery Saturday, Distribution Monday is an option. If not all out Friday and Monday
