then who would listen?the cwu for it s faults at least organise strike ballots,we have benefited from substantial wage increase(collective bargaining,ensure h&s issues are paramount .i dont want to go onto a monty python type posting(so apart from....what have the romans done for us)i for one would stick with the union especially with a ruthless employer at the moment.

I think the political levy part of the subs should be directed elsewhere. Might as well give it to the Conservatives for the amount of support given to the CWU by Labour.

some areas have already stopped paying labour out of cwu subscriptions. You know you can ask your union reps for a form to stop labour getting any of your own personal subscriptions.

Indeed your colleague is correct - I however would rather stay in it so that when the vote for disaffiliation is held I can have my say.
