Dont wont tell you wise old posties how to suck eggs... But some people need reminding..
When we come back off our strike days do your job to the letter, that means have your meal breaks before you go out if that means you miss your lift out because your driver isnt having a break, Not your problem. Make sure your bags are the right weights, if that means you have 15 bags Not your problem again, Dont rush walk a safe speed dont run up stairs if you have an accident, Is your problem dont expect sympathy from the managers if you have an accident...
Dont use your cars that will smack you in the face one day soon ....
Van drivers dont be rushed out by people wanting to go out early if they want to go out while your having your meal break, they can make there own way out.. Do your specials first so they dont fail (dont want to dig your self a hole) anyway Royal Mail want it done that way.. Make sure you do your van checks, a pain in the arse i know but if the old bill tug you, you going to pay for it... If your van is not fit for the road PMT it dont be forced into taking a dodgy van out...
And dont forget we work 8 hours a day or 6 on a saturday what ever the case it is at your office.. dont give them any time like coming in early or staying out there unpaid...
Put it this way if we was forced to come in half an hour early or stay out with out getting paid you would here the screams of moaning posties for miles..
If we dont do these things which are all our rights and Royal Mail policies, Whats the point of going on strike, This is our future we are fighting for not a short term thing.. show your job up for what it is.....
I know that we dont like letting the public down but its our jobs on the line here.....

Re: Do things right dont lets strike in vain
Great post mate, work exactly to royal mail standards, The key here is to think of our long term future and not trying to finish an hour early for a few days. You are entitled to your full 40 min meal relief, do not let any other worker or manager intimdate you into having 1. Trust me after taking my meal relief i feel refreshed and rested and ready to go, its also nice to watch some jeremy kyle lol.
Take note from the 1st post guys it will hit them where it hurts and if we do it then it will do damage and hopefully we wont be having to strike for so long, if we go in after a strike and work over our time and clear the office by rushing round then they will be happy to keep letting us strike knowing the next day we will clear it.
