Post by carpbarbel »

had a telephone call yesterday at 4.10 pm. hello we are doing a survey for the cwu. (oh yer) how did you vote on the strike (thats my business) moving on if the labour goverment paid off the pension deficit would you vote labour (answered) i then stopped her and asked whos paying for survey if its coming from my subs from cwu why are you asking me about voting for the labour goverment (she did no know) i then got her to give me the number for her head office and was advised someone would advise me. needless to say nobody answered my call. the company doing survey THCAMPAIGN COMPANY tel:02086880650. I hope my subs are not being used for this sort of thing. to add it could not have been a cold call as she knew i was cwu.

If they have a list of CWU members (and addresses) from CWU HQ, or people who have CWU deductions from pay from RM (and both do telephone polling), they can get tel nos from directory enquiries telephone directories, or online - unless you
are ex-directory.

If you get one of these calls. Just give them false information, then they'll be wasting their money. :chuckle They haven't phoned me yet. But if they do: I'll tell them I voted no, think New Labour are the best Party ever devised, etc.. I suggest everyone else does the same. It won't take too long for them to come up with totally useless, and misleading information for whoever hired them. :funneh :chuckle :chuckle

If the CWU really wants to know what we think. They whould be going through our Reps, so that we know that the information is really going to the CWU, and not to RM. As such information could be used against us. Particularly as they're using our Home phone numbers. :hmmmm

If they did it like that. I'd give them accurate information. If they phone. Well see above. :cuppa

found out that the campaign co. engaged by cwu so our subs are paying them. so info given though false is a complete waste of time and our subs going down drain, the person in cwu told them to do it is a Kevin slocombe communications officer message to him thanks for waisting my hard earned money
