Technical ballot question

We have had a LOCAL ballot and returned a YES VOTE.

We have now had a NATIONAL ballot and returned a YES VOTE.

If the national CWU does not take action quickly, can our branch take action under the local ballot's mandate ?

Or does the national decision override local results ?

2 different ballots C. O. K. you can still take local strike action when you need to but HQ will still have to rubber stamp any local strike action. Theres strike action ongoing in different areas up and down the UK at the moment.

Indeed i would hope all areas with local ballots should at least keep them live and not have to re-ballot i will be seeking such assurances from my rep and branch for as long as is needed indeed till we can see all agreements implemented in a fair and equitable way and end imposition and diktat!.

The London ballot and the others are still live for up to 3 months from the last acton *( two to be safe ) we have no intention of letting our ballot go down the legside. However unless we needed to we wont be taking action under the London ballot after next wednesdays strike, whilst the national action is being taken.

Question will going on strike on the national ballot keep the local action/ballot alive?.

No as the action in London and else where are office based and notices are served for those offices whereas a national action is just one notice .
