Special Delivery
Are we meant to always do our delivery in the same order as the fitting or are we meant to sometimes vary this in otder to achieve the 1pm delivery deadline for Special Deliveries ?

Re: Special Delivery
any sd you can,t get by 1pm should be given to your line manager let him sort it out.
if you have to go out of your way to del.. one it will increase your del span.
we wouldn,t want that ,you might not get paid your ot

Re: Special Delivery
Why are your specials not going out on the vans,i thought that it was normal practice to,especially with the PDA's.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Special Delivery
I've started getting the specials that the foot guys cannot get to before 1pm, last week I also got to do the specials for the 2 duties that were sick on my bus, aswell as my walk and all the packets and tracked.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet

Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Re: Special Delivery
I'm given specials most days (on foot). When I pointed out once that I was unlikely to get there before 1pm, I was told we'll just have to 'take it on the chin'. It's of no concern to me what time I deliver anything, as it's out of my hands. What does concern me is that I have to keep these specials in my bag. It adds weight unnecessarily, and if they are for the end of my walk, by the time I get there they are crumpled and damp.POSTMAN wrote:Why are your specials not going out on the vans,i thought that it was normal practice to,especially with the PDA's.
