just listened to this on the bbc website. makes me feel really nervous listening to this bloke spouting his nonsense. Paul tolhurst (Royal mails operations manager) is basically saying we've done all our efficiency savings for this year so lets all call off the strike and get on with Christmas......we all know what will happen come January don't we.....We have to stay strong and use the yes vote to sucure our and the company's future. we can't let royalmail destroy this business.

one of the best interviews I've heard on the subect.....by the end of it paul tolhurst is obviously flustered by the interviewer. Good to see someone putting our point across for a change. liked the bit about "this is not some nutty bloke at the union persuading it members to vote yes" ...."you've obiously lost the support of your workforce" well said!

After hearing that interview by Paul ....... is clear to me now we are run by a bunch of muppets. They don't know what they are doing. Why have you lost the support of you workforce - the answer he should have said was they are all a bunch of lazy b********. Not the tripe they are portraying on the interview.

He also mentions modernisation.......what f***ing modernisation.. jobs cuts and later deliveries. He also says that that the RM changes have been implemented??? We have had no changes apart from lapsing and managers bullying and harrasment, some modernisation. :cfo

Was'nt it proven in the last RM 'HOOPERS REPORT' that TOP manager's can't run a viable Postal Service due to lack of training/understanding and yet these muppets are still employed stealing massive bonuses for little or no work commitment.

What does he actually say that directlty answers any of the questions put to him or shows that RM have the slightest intention of moving their position of imposed change?

He was sent out to waffle and dodge any questions that show the position as it really is.

I am convinced that not only have Royal mail lost a vast amount of the publics confidence but certain media circles are starting to ask the difficculy questions as well.

While the postie on interview quite rightle brought up the pensions holiday the company took, in secret, he failed to HAMMER home home how long it lasted and just how much it bled out of the pensions pot.

All the changes have been postponed and they have implemented those that they need to do this year.

YES, but it will all start again after Christmas Pressure has gone, as he said come January they will start with the changes again
