Once again our members have returned a 'Yes' vote...and with a decent return percentage too..! Quite a statement to the level mis-treatment we all have to endure on a daily basis....although there was a slight thought in everyone's mind that the 'no voters' were on the rise..!! Saw a banner on the news today which read "We're not striking for more money"..(although it still needs to be addressed) we do need to be treated like the workforce that we are . But this a truly great response by our fellow CWU members...sure,we still need a worthy outcome at the end of it all....but this is the 1st step on the ladder...!!!Hail to us all...!!!!

I just hope EVERY SINGLE Union member supports and respects the majority decision. Regardless how they voted. Majority rules. Simple. If they are not going to support the Union why the hell are they in it!? P*sses me right off!!

Yeah i feel the same ,i can understand people not wanting to strike but this was a time for all cwu members to give a yes vote .They can not this time around stand on the side lines expecting others to do there fighting for them. This leaves me a bit puzzled to the resons why some voted no as it is also there future we are now fighting for what effects us will effect them. Did they fully understand what this fight is all about or was there decision based finacialy.

Im so chuffed we got a yes vote really makes me proud to be a memeber of the cwu and once this is all over we all will be a lot stronger and hopefully in a better working enviroment.

Some people want the rewards from the striking but yet aren't prepared to strike! There as bad if not worse than the bullyboy managers! If any Union member isn't or doesn't support the majority decision why does the Union not take action against them? How can the Union justify Union members not supporting the strikes to the guys and girls on the picket lines? They can't! If they don't support the cause then surely we as a Union are better off without them? Once again I ask the question, is it really all about cash for the fat cats at the top of the Union tree? Surely not.

I think many of the no votes are by people that are happy to sit on the fence as they havnt actually been affected by the poor management. What they need to realise is that things are going to get worse at some point, very short-sighted.

Thought a little WW2 poem might help for those fence-sitters out there;

First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a communist;
Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist;
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist;

I F***ing hope its not about keeping the fat cats fat. Those cant support the majority would be out the union no ifs or buts if it were down to me .
