Re: New footwear
I've got the CAT shoes, quite comfortable, can be worn straight away without any problems and the grip is good. I've put in for the CAT boots aswell but have'nt got them yet as they were out of stock. You can order boots and shoes if your LM authorises it.

Re: New footwear
I've received a pair of the Doc Martens shoes this week but am sending them back. They are marked as "Industrial" and are heavier and stiffer than the normal domestic types available(of which I have a few). No doubt this means they will give you better protection and lifespan for the shoes, but they are still hurting although the right size after breaking in for a few days just in the office. I have now ordered the CAT shoes having inspected a pair that one of my mates ordered and they seem very substantial for a trainer type shoe - more like a trail or outdoor pursuits item.
We wish to serve - but we will not be servile

Re: New footwear
no 1/2 sizes in Doc martin or Cat, not good enough realy when you consider the importance of a correctely fitted shoe etc, and the amount of walking.

Re: New footwear
The Cat shoes are unlikely to be waterproof looking at them...unless they are goretex which i doubt v much
