COURIOR MAG
If RM are so skint & looking to force cutbacks then why not siv out the crap and cancel the publication 'Courior Mag', just think of the savings:
Expensive paper
Expensive Inks
Plastic Packing
Postage
Talentless muppets who call themselves 'Reporters'
And then cut Managers bonuses by 80%, not to mention scrapping the useless people who call themselves managers, you know, the ones who stand around day after day doing nothing and think they are bullet proof (I am, therefor i take up space).
Instant savings of £5 million plus
RM problems solved

My Courier hasn't arrived - probably in the mail mountain at the Dartford warehouse.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: COURIOR MAG
True but RML are no longer the big money makers of the group, profit levels are way down on previous years.
RML used to carry the rest of the RM Group, now perhaps it's time the group returned the favour?

But they ain't to clever with the money,Phantom wrote:Royal Mail are NOT skint!
We had 11, 2 seater rental vans parked in our car park the other day used to bring a load of managers in from the Valleys, they've got so much cash they didn't think of just hiring 2 minibuses.

Run, rabbit run. Dig that hole, forget the sun.
And when at last the work is done. Don't sit down, it's time to dig another one

The Courier is available on the intranet for anyone who can sneak onto it. Quite a few back issues too.

Presumably it's there to keep all the idle managers entertained when they should be working?

Re: COURIOR MAG
The only useful thing I've found in there, for a long time. Is the article about the new machinery at SWRDC, on page 5. One of our Managers went to see it, as part of the WCM Scheme, and told us we were having one (I'll believe it when I see it). So it was interesting to see what it looks like. Although I can't see how they'll fit one in our RDC. There simply isn't room for a "Football Pitch Sized" Machine. Still, that's their problem, not mine!
