CWU shouldn't call off any strikes (if yes vote) until their is a deal on the table for us to vote on. So if the deal falls through they can arrange a new strike date.

well as we have learnt from 2007 when the agreement was voted in i think that everything had better be clear and concise,more importantly people actually read the agreement and dont vote yes for the sheer sake of it.

Or, better still, when a deal has been reached, put it to the members and send out the ballot papers, but at the same time, give RM advance notice (as required by law) of a national strike, to commence on the day after the result of that vote. The reason ? If the members vote to accept, the CWU can pull the strike. But if we don't think it's an acceptable deal, we can vote No in the full knowledge that the IA will resume immediately.
