Scanners on doors

Has anyone else had electronic 'scanners' installed on all exits/entrances at your Do?? Big things above the doors, look like something that sound an alarm if you try nicking from a shop

We have, We were told it is to track timed and test letters. Rumours now flying they are to track us coming and going etc????/
