PAYING SOMEONE'S WAGES WHO REFUSES TO CROSS PICKET

Post by rolf »

Someone in our office was told to cross picket line today to collect missorts but he refused and suspended so our ex-union rep went round the shop floor to ask people for £1 for his day's wages he got well more than enough money but the question i want to ask is this backed by the union or the DOM thinking. We wanted to walk out through support but some wouldn't couldn't afford to. WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK ? :cry :cry

They're not managers anymore, they're just little dictators, all they want to do is provoke us into more IA. :mad

Royal Mail do not suspend indivuduals for not crossing picket line they take indivduals off pay. There are hundreds of cases in the UK of drivers not crossing picket lines and being taken off pay.

So it good that your office had a whip around for him as he will have been taken off pay but not suspended.

I refused to cross a picket line a few weeks ago and lost a days pay. i was given two options by managment, either go home with no pay or stay in the office and work for no pay
Took me all of 2 seconds to say goodbye and stick your working for no pay. where the sun dont shine.

The lads in our office had a whip for me so i was not out of pocket :Applause
