How many Offices are doing the Job properly ?
Mine is and we are causing chaos, even the managers cannot complete deliveries themselves !
they now know how much has been done in the past without them knowing, reality bites, we are booking left riaght and centre with culls everywhere, noticed there is no light Monday and Tuesday anymore, its heavy every day, looks like the Managers are throwing everything in and holding nothing back, the Managers are being run off their feets, conveying us out, delivering culls, I saw a couple of them getting a bit short tempered about their workload etc
heard SAs will be taken out being covered by 24 hour contracts staffs to be recruited soon, not all casual overtime is covered as well.
Its about time, they knew what the job really is like.

Re: How many Offices are doing the Job properly ?
some of us are doing it proper but most just dont give a fcuk, have tried to get them on board but to no avail.
still a fair few taking all bags out in car, doing lapsing in cars, working through breaktime ,comin in early, overweight bags the list goes on.
all i can say is AGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
any advice on how to persuade them would be appreciated.

Get banked hours put in the office, that will stop 'em. Doubt RM will let you though if many are doing that as it saves them, and they know it.....bootleg wrote:some of us are doing it proper but most just dont give a fcuk, have tried to get them on board but to no avail.

Re: How many Offices are doing the Job properly ?
They are at last doing it in our office now.
I went to the local shop today around 3p.m and bumped into our No2 in command
he was all sweaty and looked knackered so I asked him what he was doing in my neck of the woods,he told me that he had just finished doing a few streets that one of the lads had not taken out on his lapsing.
He also asked me when I was coming back to work as I`ve been off since the start of the year......I said you must be really desperate if you want a half blind cripple back and then added I could always become a manager I suppose?

3 out of 5 local offices taking breaks and generally working strictly to RM guidelines inc Health and Safety policy's ......... manager realising that RM propaganda far off the mark and business only got done with good will and common sense, wonderful to see RM rule book causing chaos.

Re: How many Offices are doing the Job properly ?
Even after repeated efforts by the Union to encourage people to do the job properly, it falls on deaf ears.
More jobs are currently being cut and the vast majority of people just come in earlier, race even faster, do extra workload for free.
I've found starting on time and doing my job properly results in either (a) lots of overtime, nullifying the cost savings RM thought they would get (b) mail not delivered in delivery time span has to be collected and delivered by someone else or returned to office for delivery the next day.
Working to my time is not the problem, having to walk back 4 miles to the office is. It's a mind battle but one I'm going to win by doing things RM's way............

Re: How many Offices are doing the Job properly ?
Tried that. It may be "everyones responsibility" but very few of us live up to it. I despair of our DO. I really do. Oh, they all agree with what needs to be done, and tbf, most actually have a go at it. But we have too many 'weak sisters' who let the side down. I tell them not to come in early etc, as does our rep and other senior men but we are ignored. And they'll probably vote NO because they "dont agree with going on strike". Sometimes I feel like I'm just wasting my time.WarDog wrote:Do what we did have an office meeting explain the points on doing the job properly then have a vote and see how it goes this is what we done if the majority are in favour thats the way your lot have to go but by the sounds of it you might get a show against. Then if you do get a a show in favour of doing the job properly it is then everyones responsabilty to pull up any one they see not doing the job properly it wouldnt just be the responseability of the rep. Its working great in our officebootleg wrote:some of us are doing it proper but most just dont give a fcuk, have tried to get them on board but to no avail.

My Office is now no longer doing the Job properly offically, having struck a deal on certain issues in the Office including executive action.
Cue mass use of cars, coming early, the usual shite,
I'm thinking WTF

Re: How many Offices are doing the Job properly ?
Starting early, going out early, using cars, working every minute of overtime (and there's plenty), working days off and that's after voting for 4hr 30min duties. That's what is happening in my office. I work my 40hrs no early starts, going out early, use car,no overtime, take my day off and guess who gets grief
most days
