Why are you voting for strike action

I am not militant and quite anti union in many ways.But I am definatley voting for strike action, not to back the cwu or a pay rise or long term job security etc all of wich are desirable but not essential at this moment in time.

We had pegaus 1 last year wich caused total havic in our office,after agreement and realisation Pegus did not work,the rounds were reduced in size,to a almost realistic size,so good day you can doo them and a bad day well cut off etc!We were promissed no more revisions of walks.

Now Pegus 2 plans have been laid out in our office but not yet implemenated,the plans for the new walks are even more larger than Pegus 1 and totaly impratical,but then as was the case last year the person who drew up the new walks has never done a walk in their life so are well qualified on walks !

if or when Pegus 2 is impleneted it will be really bad in our office and cause so much stress.as MANAGEMENT will not accept failue and dislike cut offs and I know threats if not nore will be made by them ,and certainly pay stoppage has benn mentioned by the DIM,so whilst the strike is causing disruption for the Pblic RM own plans to save money wich in our office alone cost £500,000 last year is causing major stress to their own staff,after a lot of thought I AM VOTING FOR STRIKE ACTION FOR THESE REASONS.

Things arent really that bad in our office but I have voted YES to IA to support our Brothers and Sisters where things are bad, it isn`t just a "London Problem" as some people would have us believe.
Also if we don`t vote yes things will only get worse and RM will continue to walk all over us.

Strangely the worst of the changes have not affected me directly and that's because we are known locally as a strong Union office and sometimes we are even termed "Militant". Therefore the reason I will be striking if asked, is to defend the Union, otherwise we all would be in the same mess as many offices described on here.

I am willing to work hard and I am willing to work my full hours each and every week, but sometimes RM take the piss.

All reasons above but my main reason is that RM are now only taking on part-timers but getting most of them to do full hours and not giving them a choice to go full time..

It makes sense to me. He explained that despite being in many ways, anti-Union. He is still voting yes. Because of the problems that Pegasus has already caused. And the fact that Pegasus 2, will make things far worse.

If someone who's anti-Union, still feels compelled to fight. Then it just goes to show, how bad things have got in some areas! Welcome aboard Puppetmaster!

As for my reasons for voting yes: It's mostly to back up my Collegues in Deliveries, but also to try to prevent things getting that bad where I am. We've got plenty of problems of our own. But we've a long way to go, before it's as bad for us, as it is for them.

We had a excellent postal system cutomers got their mail early, collections by drivers were collected from letter boxes, companies at decent times, etc and all this as changed. I am voting for strike action to protect RM from further destruction.

Some walk in my office are 2 and a half hours long, others are 3 30, one is timed at 5 hours.
Managers bully and harass those who stream, cut off or are deemed to be slow workers, while those with the easy rounds, are finished at half 12.
The managers not interested in them.

Inadequate managers, hopeless at man to man management is another reason.
Lies and bullshit /pettiness is another.
Erosion of any common sense is another reason, why cant they give me a manageable workload ?

Failure to bind to national agreements.

Also, like said before, under staffed.
Sackings, deaths in service, wasteage and folk who have left, all duties filled by part timers, they are running the service into the ground.
Finally, we are a public servive, but it seems to be run like a private company.

I've already voted YES - I am close to retirement, I work part time by choice, , I am not going to suffer any financial hardship, any changes will not be a great challenge because I haven't long enough to do to let it bother me and yet it does bother me because I see the hardship that my colleagues face on a day to day basis, the bullying, part timers having to work overtime on a daily basis through necessity, agreements being ignored, new procedures put in place without agreement, nepotism and a total disregard by managers for the health and well being of their staff.

I may be in the minority but I'd like to see an all out strike continuously run, no half measures - I've always found that when everything stops it tends to focus everyones mind to finding a solution.

WHERE JUST WHERE DO YOU WANT TO START.

The beginning of 09 I would have been happy to swallow a pay freeze after all credit crunch I waspleased yes pleased to have a job. Then we are told of mass profit within the buisness and yet they still continue to try and cripple us into submission. Then to find out even at a very low level of management they are pocketing between 5-6000 bonusus based on our sweat and toil. Sector managers raking in 9-10,000 bonusus its a bloody joke.God knows how much the cling on managers in the back ground living of our HARD wORK raked in,IN bonusus I got to say yes and I will get ripped up for it, indivdually managers are nice enough as people well some of them, but they have not got a blinking clue about running the buisness. Most of them would not be able to run a depatment in TESCO's.....They preach diversty, dignity and respect yet they are the worst offenders, time and time again.
No had enough its a Yes from me as difficult and sad even with crimbo lineing up I am prepared once again to show my strength.
