Management grievances

Post by La Poste »

Has anyone here or has anyone here ever heard about a postman taking out a grievance against management and winning?
Just curious.
I wonder what the success rate is.
Thanks.
No I'm not being paranoid, they really are out to get me.

I've know of a few that have won. So surprising it does happen.

Thanks for the reply.
Why do you think the success rate is so low?

Just because the lose doesn't mean they lost their job, what usually happens its they take a side step. Management hardly get sacked.

Or get promoted - It seems to me sometimes that people get promoted to their level of incompetence. In fact it has a name "The Peter Principle" http://www.mindtools.com/pages/article/newTMM_68.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

RM has it's own variant of this phenomenon, known to all as "The Pillock Principle"

Yes, in our DO a manager got a severe reprimand and is no longer there.

Is it maybe because the union don't like going after management or maybe management investigate themselves and protect themselves?
I mean I often hear of postman being re-instated after being dismissed or being found not guilty of an allegation but very rarely hear of anyone going after managment after they have been found not guilty or people goiing after management for false allegations.
Any opinions would be appreciated.
