DAILY EXPRESS JUNE 29th

Post by somerset »

 Page 28 daily express today bottom right :nana Last paragraph "Royal Mail has offered a 2.5% rise with dividend payments of £800 per worker if certain targets are met. The union wants an immediate £80-a-week rise to match the national UK average wage" :d'oh! I kid you not it,s there in black and white. Don,t know which idiot wrote that but suggest he wants to get his facts right first

The Daily Express which in 1939 carried the headline "No War This Year."The best bit was the Royal Mail's advert about the strike on Wednesday- "A strike is the last thing we want "-so why did RM try & bully people into one?, there's the bit about the luddite union & "modernisation". At least the Express wasn't supporting facism like the Mail was doing !.The targets are like How many people live in China & name them.
There's a lot worse on the BBC HYS site though, you really are going back in History with that anti union , ill-informed , arrogant & ignorant stuff. The CWU does have a serious PR problem.

Dead reliable as always!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
