FRIDAYS BRIEF

Post by ldsposti »

Hi did any other offices have the brief on friday about the ballot, we was told it was not about us but london and how much the mail has dropped off and profits and we should think before we cast our vote,
as i am now the rep the dom asked me if i had anything to say i just pointed out the profits they had made and who got the bonuses and all the staff replied the managers not us, so i said well use your vote and make it a YES.
Then the manager in front of all the staff said my comment was below the belt my reply was did you get a bonus his face was a picture.
the thing is about our dom is he has no idea how to address the staff he shakes like a sh****ing dog at the end of it all i think we got a few more yes votes.

I'm sick of hearing about these spanish practices, when we were offered overtime,we never
asked for more money than we should have been paid ,it was at the managers discretion.
One of hoopers recomendations was to bring in new management with the neccessary skills,
what's apparent is any fool can throw money at it,but now that option has been taken away,
they simply can't manage.
at the next WTLL session i'll be asking when these new managers will be coming!

ldsposti : We had that brief earlier this week. Line manager read it out and was unable to cope with barrage of derogatory remarks, accusations of lies, and explanations of the untruths within. We have been on strike and will vote YES because of what is going on in OUR office, not because of events in London. It is an insult to suggest otherwise. Dignity and respect issue?

- yes, typical divide and rule tactics.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
