URGENT
419 Email Scam
Dear Colleague
Please note it has been brought to our attention that one of our Branch E-Mail Accounts has been compromised and e-mails have been sent out suggesting that two senior representatives are trapped abroad and requesting urgent funds to be sent. This is what is known as a 419 scam.
We have contacted one of the individuals concerned and are happy to report that they are alive and well and enjoying themselves on holiday.
Under no circumstances should any attempt be made to respond to this e-mail. This has been brought to the attention of the relevant internet service provider. The Branch, Birmingham, Black Country and Worcester, has their e-mail account compromised and for the time being it would perhaps be better if no further communications are sent to that Branch. This is in order to protect the integrity of other information and other e-mail accounts.
