Crozier is renown for being a bit sparse with the truth, we were told that all managers got a £2000 bonus this week, thought that they had no more money. I can tell you now that it was between 90 to 95% out today and that came from a manager who was manning the phones, because all areas of the country had to phone into the mail centre where he was working so dont listen to all the management shite.

I'll second that sentiment. Spoke to the area sec in birmingham and he said only 3% of the workforce went in. 97% on strike in our area.

I think everyone would agree leighton is a big baby when he dont get his way. He got a kick in the bollocks and cant handle it so they are trying everything to discredit the strike but they cant my area was 97% also. :lfo

And with only 40 mins IPS in my office on a saturday morning and all my boys starting at 0600 watch it fail.

Again that is an indictement of the tactics that those two idiots have played throughout all this. They have just basically tried to trick people rather than sort things out properly.

A message from Billy Hayes, General Secretary & Dave Ward DGS (Postal)

Dear Colleagues,

We would like to thank all Postal Workers for your tremendous turnout
and overwhelming support in the Strike action that has taken place over
the 29th/30th June.

The Union established a reporting process, covering every branch and
area of the country. Reports on the ground demonstrate this is the most
well supported strike action undertaken on a national basis with over
95% support.

We all know Royal Mails' Business Leaders are well versed in the world
of P.R and spin. They will endeavour to dampen down the real level of
support for the strike. However, we are countering this with our own
media communications.

The Union's Executive will be meeting next week to outline our next
steps and we will be writing to individual members in the very near
future. In the meantime, we would like you to pass on our thanks to the
members in your workplace.
