Didnt complete today - question

Post by mandelsons_toenail »

Before I had tied up my mail It was busy and I along with other asked the DOM what to do as we are struggling

His answer, well " take 1st class + dated , when your struggling"

So i did and riddled out maybe 30 houses , got to my last bag at 1030 am ( finish time 1120 , so begin to cycle back to office at 11 am as its 15 mins + 5 mins to tidy up frame etc ) Now at 1030am I knew I would not be able to complete. So i called my office to speak to a manager, suprise suprise they had gone home, So i informed a member of the locker staff who is paid on a sat. apparently for the office "responsibility" that I would be cutting off as even with riddling I have not got time to complete ( 2h35m delivery time today) He said fine. Now I have done things correctly right? As soon as I realised I called the office. Its still there now afaik as office shuts at 1pm.

What shall I say when I no doubt am hauled into office on monday. Im the only person in an office of 90 who does the job properly. Comes in on time etc. Daily im harassed and watched and hassled. The round isnt mine and is considered a " cigar round" but mail has been v high this week. But I wont take any s**t and wont work for free and the guy who has it to do monday broke our picket in 2007, comes in 20 mins early and doesnt take a break. I dont want to become the singled out guy, which the manager said I am becoming, His words were " dont highlight yourself to us, but you are by cutting off" I said I have nothing to hide, come watch me, follow me, test me etc.

wanchope123 you did all you can, so should have nothing to worry about. If you feel you will be singled out talk to a Rep and if you are hauled in to the doms office bring the Rep with you.
I'm going through the same sort of crap, don't panic just follow the rules after all they are RM's rules so you are only doing what they have asked you to do.

You need to run, use your car, don't take breaks and come in early. Doorstepping and bringing mail back would help. You will easily get done then and they won't bother you, for now anyhow. ;)

You did your best you phoned in when you knew you would not complete its not your fault that the Managers had gone home. Its just the same in my office i never see a manager on a sat. I had a LOT of packets and parcels this sat which i guess is due to the back log caused by the strikes. Maybe you had the same problem ? :Very Happy
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

8 hours a day, 5 days a week equals 40 hours, Saturdays are just normal days in my office and I'm sure coming to your office soon.

Use your vote well and VOTE YES.

hi i just recently read a document if you are unable to complete and numbers to call and it says we should all have the number for the security help desk when you cannot contact your manager i remember using it a few years back its good they log the time and problem and have to send a report in i remember our dom getting his arse kicked for going home early, so if you end up in the office ask him for the number.

Keep records of all activity eg. cut-offs / convesations with managers / threats / bulling etc.

CALL the RM HELP line ( 0800 6888 777 ) and explain your situation and the problems your having ( they are independant / sympathetic )

note the Time / date / who you spoke to

Next time you fell like your being harrased, inform your harrasser that you are LOGGING all incidents with the HELP line

This will cover you if you have to go into any official interview /tribunral .

NEVER go into the office or speak to your manager without your REP or a witness !!

GOOD LUCK !
