September mail levels

Post by Big Daz »

Well the summer is over and September is here and guess what?

Mail is up :Very Happy

Yes we had a light summer in my D.O but this September mail has shot straight back again as it does every September and there is no way we down on mail compared to September 2009 and if we are then its so small as to be unnoticeable at delivery round level.

So all I can say is :cfo :mfo

Same story in my office we are taking out about twice the amount we were in July /Aug
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

Its about time RMl told the truth that mail levels have seasonal variations and CWU fully reconise this through phase 2 were we get extra annual leave slots.

Planning duties on the lightest season of the year is

Its been mental this week, the managers have given up with writing on the board this years daily count compared to last years daily, nothing to do with the mail being up is it RM :whistle
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

And DOMs are still expecting members to continue the process of summer lapsing/absorption/be more efficient into the autumn-cum-winter pressure to achieve budget savings that we are not even going to get a sniff at!

Who the f**k do they think they are kidding

With tongue in cheek... Well, there's me believing the propaganda that "mail is down 10%" and "modernisation has been introduced successfully in 90% of our offices" - yet we have (post-Pegasus and executive action) had Yorks galore of 1st class, second class, DSA and don't even mention the mailsort left untouched in our D.O. this week because staffing has been cut so deep the office cannot work and the wound is fatal. Yet apparently we are (according to the so called management) "overstaffed" despite not being able to move for mail.

Fact: Royal Mail management lie. Mail integrity my arse.

Hope you get through tomorrow ok chaps - us in Rochdale are OUT for the day for the fourth time this year.
