Don't start to doze in the afternoon, it's best to just go through the tired bit and go to bed earlier at night (I'm speaking from experience that if you have a nap it disrupts your night sleep and it will eventually lead to chronic insomnia and complete madness ).

Get an allotment, put shed on it, equip said shed whith propane fridge, sit in shed, drink ice cold beer and mutter to oneself, no more letters.

Or you could just say to the wife "got any jobs need doing" that will deffo keep you awake

I'm not so sure,those things drive you up the wall. First couple of sucks,fine ; then it gets moist and you can suck and suck until your chest hurts ,then sometimes it explodes in your mouth and nearly chokes you,or more often than not ,nothing .So you end up licking the end and dipping it in then sucking it off ,it takes forever. And it doesn't matter how many times you do it ,you still think the next one will be the one that works

That sounds like a conversation me and dvb should be having sucking hard and explodes in your mouth anyway, after many year of experience this is how you consume a Sherbet Fountain - open pack, take out the liquorice stick and eat it first (waste not want not) then tear off the flap of paper just above the cardboard tube and then pour straight into mouth..........................ahhhhhh pure luxury especially when it comes out your nose

Snap ! everyday feels like "Groundhog Day" same shite different day, sometimes I fail to distinguish what day it was when I was really tired.
