Lets get back to work!!!!!

Post by steven100 »

Its about time we all went back to work, took no further strike and roll over and let RM implement all their changes. Surely going Part-time is the way forward. Just think less money to spend, less money for your pension, meaning having to work until you drop down dead.
In return we'll be rewarding these hard working managers with big fat bonuses, esp Crozier and Leighton. :funneh :funneh

Come on guys get back to work!!!!

LOL

Luckily i'm only joking, this is what we could be looking forward too. :lfo :cfo :mfo

here's the catch

already part-time 22.5 hours

everytime we get chance to get 30 hour contract the fulltimers vote against it

what are you doing to help these guys and involve them. because i would understand them working a strike and continue to treat them as friends.

Now the quicker we all realise we are in the same boat together, and stop blaming FT/PT we will all be a lot better off, and be able to stop RM divide and conquer tatics

Everyone should be backing everyone, part-time, full time and all over the country. The union has to unite us, giving everyone a fair deal whatever the deal is.
Part-time employees must remember everyone was part-time when they started. Full-timer must remember that part-time isn't really a wage for famillies etc.

All for one and one for all.

Think I've said this before.

I've worked six days a week since I started, I grab every bit of excess I can with both hands, and still struggle to pay my share of the bills, I even had to forego my family holiday this year, becuase we couldn't afford the loss of pay.

I agree we all have to work together, I understand why the fulltimers are so upset, but when I look at the SA duuty roster and see the same full timers grabbing the same ones (and the easier ones at that), week after week, I'm very tempted to say f**k you.

Ar my D.O we have dutioes designed to fit arounda 30 hour week, PT are 30 hour week and we pick these duties in seniority order.

S/A is open to all and is done via seniority pick a SA duty on any given day move to the next person untill all S/A is covered.

PT timers at my D.O range very Senior men to the most junior.

I wouldn't worry about SA, it's RMs aim to get rid of them completely.

Scheduled Attendance - Is overtime that is known to be necessary and is planned for unlike pressure OT that can come and go, eg. collections would be SA in my office.

Can you have SA as part of your normal week? For example, I work 28 hrs a week but am on a 25 hr contract. Is the other 3 hrs SA? It's impossible to work 25 hrs :confused

Thats true

The DOM will no doubt propose boltings SA colections onto duties once the sequened letters and walksort flats kick in. Might be he only way to maximise FT jobs if we dont get a cut in the working week.

No SA is usually extra to your duty. For example if you are 25 hours and you usually do 28 hours total and after that duty you do 3 hours of collections on Saturday then your hours would be made up of

25 Hours Normal Duty
3 Hours Pressure OT
3 Hours SA
