On strikes in your local area - keep an eye on here as there are loads of different units and functions currently on local action and they will give RM 7 days notice - I am sure it will appear on here shortly after that by the diligent work of loads of RMC members.

We have an office in our old area which has taken action this week, the rumour is that there local union have said there will be no more strikes until the national ballot is completed.. Is this right or correct??

Well we're out today but I think for the first time eversome from our office have gone in. They're sick of pissing money away on useless one day strikes while everyone else is working and to be honest I don't really blame them. we've now lost almost 2 week's money and still this f**king union hasn't got it's house in order. Do they even care do they bollox. they get their sub's out of our money and that's all they're f**king well bothered about.

All London offices will be striking on Wednesday 9th September.
In addition SW London Branch have notified a full week of industrial action in deliveries next week.
East London has notified two days of IA next week.
All VOCs (Network drivers) will be taking two days of IA next week.

Now look..if an agreement is made,(& I think it is sooner than later),those that cross the line will benefit from others hardship.If I was an area rep I will take names.In the future should those individuals be "tugged" for sick/etc that meeting will be very silent from me when it comes to mitigation. I promise you,(strike breakers), that those who have lost pay and not fed their children,I would be VERY UPSET!!!!! BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!

That, if true is indeed upping the ante! Once again though just one area, which is all wrong.As a UNION it doesnt make sense that this is the way things have been allowed to develop. In London we have taken about 10 days out now, and publicity has been minimal. RM are seemingly winning the PR war down here, saying services are only minimally disrupted and 90% of the workforce are working normally, even though its 90% of the country and the general public are also confused by the rolling strikes, ive lost count of the number of people who have said to me "i thought you were on strike today"
On a brighter note, though not for our long suffering customers, on Wednesday (2nd sept) i noticed alot of the first class i was delivering was dated 28th August so what with being out again today despite our DO appearing clear, they must be hiding some work somewhere.
There is no doubt in my mind that the bigger picture of this dispute is to break the union. All i can say is that is a disgrace to a hardworking and conscientious workforce that care about the customer not their bonus.
