Royal Mail jobs created for young unemployed

Post by POSTMAN »

More than 150 major employers, including Royal Mail, Microsoft, Pfizer, Phones4U, Centrica and Morrisons, will provide apprenticeships, work or training.

Blah blah blah...

So,thoughts on these poor f***ers coming in.

YTS never really worked in the 80s - so what have they changed this time or is it just another old and failed Thatcher policy dressed up in Red wrapping by Mandelson.

And you can bet they'll be persuaded against joining the union as well.

All they will get is what they get whilst on benefits plus £10 extra per week if they turn up every day just like the late 80's. When I left school I was on a YOP (Youth Oppourtunities Programme) £25 a week for doing a full timers job :arrrghhh :arrrghhh I did'nt put up with that for very long :angel
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

I certainly don't envy youngsters today. And especially those that will end up in Royal Mail working like slaves for very little monetary reward.
Nope, I do not envy our children/grandchildren one little bit. :so there

It's a f***ing scam, what training that will help youngsters in the future can these capitalist parasites give.

Some of Britain's biggest companies have pledged to provide training courses and apprenticeships

Yes, I went on one briefly. Before giving up on it, as it was a total waste of my time. I went to College instead.

It's totally dishonest and utterly disreputable. Come to think of it, just what you'd expect from "some of Britain's biggest companies."

What an incredibly crass and pointless comment, POSTMAN.

"Capitalist parasites" aka businesses have traditionally trained apprentices; are you saying that's wrong in some way, or is it another example of that good old inverse snobbery of those at the bottom of the pile?

Maybe some doing this scheme will be saved from walking the streets in all weathers delivering letters at 50+ years old, and that's got to be a good thing judging by the amount of moaning done on here by those who do it currently....
